hello to anyone stumbling upon this site ! Here is where I hope to document my "journey" into Gyaru/Gyaruo fashion as I try to get more into it!

why gyaru?

I've been interested in it for a while, and so I feel like it might be something worth pursuing! I love gyaru makeup, and while makeup is not something I've ever really touched, it really makes me want to try it out! I love that gyaru has so many different substyles that can be so different, as someone who could never stick to just one style, it seems perfect.

I also really align with the ideas behind it, I <3 noncomformity.

what substyle(s)?

I'm very much against sticking myself into too much of a box when it comes to style, I could never pick just one thing to wear forever. However, I will definitely be taking a lot of inspiration from Rokku style as it fits best with what my wardrobe already looks like, however I want to try out Manba and adjacent styles too!

gyaru/gyaruo?

Gyaruo is technically what I (am/will be lol) as I'm a guy, but since I dress both fem and masc I will likely say Gyaru or both pretty often.

disclaimer

I am not here to be the most perfect person ever. I will almost certainly make "mistakes" in my makeup, outfits, whatever. I'm dressing how I like, not necessarily how you like (that's kinda the point isn't it...). If you are the kind of person to get super mad when someone does their makeup a little different than traditional gyaru styles, then think of me as just being inspired by gyaru if that makes you feel better lmao.

"wardrobe" page open!

Just updated the site to include my wardrobe! It currently has a tops, bottoms, and accessories section. It's not complete yet, but theres a fair amount of stuff on there. Boy are images heavy haha... I went from 0.3% to 14.7% of my free 1GB used! Theres still plenty, obviously, but I'll have to be careful lol, especially with other pages & such that I also plan to post images in. I might have to cut down my wardrobe to only "related" items in the future, like only clothes that are more gyau-ey than like... my dino tshirt... but for now theres no need!

I'll finish up working on my site for today with this post, I'm gonna go play Vintage Story with my gf! Its such a good game, definitely check it out if you like a challenge! (or not, you can play on peaceful modes...)

Actually that reminds me, I wanna add pages for games and shows & movies that I like, similar to my tunes page. maybe I'll work on one of those next...
